Description | This unit describes the performance outcomes required to carry out sectional repairs and replacement operations on vehicles with major damage, including structural components, rails and pillars.The unit involves identifying and confirming work requirements, preparing for work, selecting the repair method, removing damaged components, repairing damaged sections and components, replacing and aligning new or repaired components, and undertaking completion processes, including clean-up and documentation.Licensing, legislative, regulatory or certification requirements may apply to this unit in some jurisdictions.
